What is life coaching?

Wikkipedia Definition: Life coaching is a practice of assisting clients to determine and achieve personal goals. A coach will use a variety of methods, tailored to the client, to move through the process of setting and reaching goals. Coaching is not targeted at psychological illness, and coaches are not therapists (although therapists may be coaches).

It's a partnership where a coach helps to uncover what you truly want and helps move you toward action or deepens your learning about a situation.

How life coaching works

We meet in person or via telephone (although the first meeting is recommended in person).

You decide how many times we meet. It's recommended that we meet 3 times a month for a minimum of 3 months.

We'll re-evaluate what's important to you (your values) and discover what makes you truly happy. We use creativity, customizable techniques, and tested methods designed to get past mental blocks imposed on us as children or by society in general.

  • Creativity - We can utilize anything from your favorite TV show, to your favorite foods, to the best cars as metaphors to help uncover what you really value in life.
  • Customizable Techniques - Visualization exercises are used to help free you from what holds you back on a daily basis and ultimately to help turn what you imagine into a reality.
  • Tested Methods - Balance coaching helps provide solutions to a certain situation that might be blocking you from achieving what you want.

We will ask you the following questions to uncover your life vision, true purpose, and more compelling goals for you to achieve.

  • Who are you becoming? What matters most to you? What do you truly want? Are you living in a way that expresses your true/best self? Are you honoring your values?
  • Are you making choices that are life-affirming and in line with what is important to you?
  • Are you fully experiencing your life, in particular in the moment.

We also provide guidance as appropriate for an action plan and helpful habits to move you toward realizing your dream life, providing support and encouragement along the way (even in between sessions).

We'll work with your beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors to empower you to design a fun, fulfilling life.

We also have a special on-line program to help track your results and progress.

Our conversations are confidential. You can share whatever we discuss with anyone but coaches will not discuss our conversations with anyone.
